I don't think I've ever posted about our house. We have lived here for a little over 2 years and we are still not tired of living 30 miles from a decent grocery store. It is a sacrifice we are willing to make. When we were thinking about building a new house on the land that had belonged to B's grandmother, we had a few goals in mind. We wanted to keep it simple, make it easy to get around in when we had folks over, have one big room for the kitchen and living room (because guest seem to congregate in the kitchen and we thought the living room might get spillover action this way) and get out of house debt in 10 years. These are the results of that planning:
